Weddings are always about new beginnings. No matter how long you may have been a couple, there will always be that shift in your perceptions. In truth, it will pull you closer and in the good marriages, you will become teammates in a way you never imagined.
As 2013 rolls to an end, I think back on all of the new couples celebrating their first married New Year… I imagine the fireworks will be a little brighter and the smiles a little broader. My advice would be to keep facing forward, holding hands… go at your lives together, always.
Vista Hills Vineyard in late August… we have an absolute heaven right here in Oregon. Our vineyards are all within about a 45 minute drive from Portland… it’s the best of both worlds. That proximity has become a marvelous reason to get married in these beautiful rolling hills.
Stephanie and Lee took a break with their friends a little before dinner… there was wine passed and laughter on that summer road. Come to Oregon. Bring your dreams.
There are some fine and wonderful florists in our fair city but I am always drawn to the art of Francoise Weeks. She seems to have an infinite connection to her own wide universe and a capacity for the translation of it. If you can give her an idea or two about what you like, she can bring intricate miracles to the table. All it takes is a little time and some trust in her many talents.
These two arrangements are enhanced a bit by the dirt under the fingernails of the older and the band-aid of the younger… still, charm abounds! I love flower girls!
Let me know if I can help you find the vendors of your dreams, ok?
